GBS is defined as acute or subacute symmetrical predominantly motor Neuropathy involving more than one peripheral nerves, frequently it may involve the facial and other cranial nerves,doesn't have any known etiology, reaches a peak of disability by 4 weeks, has a monophasic course and usually ends up with recovery.
